Dr. Anthony Savino is the Director of The Sports Neurology Clinic at Illinois Bone & Joint, and board-certified neurologist, specializing in the treatment of concussion, post-concussion syndrome, and neurological disorders in athletes.

Dr. Savino’s research interests include autonomic dysfunction in concussion, the treatment of post-concussion syndrome. During his fellowship, at The Sports Neurology Clinic, Dr. Savino collaborated in a four-year collaborative research study of head trauma in local youth and high school football players. The study examines the potential chronic results of brain trauma by measuring head impacts in real-time with helmet sensors and conducting extensive brain function tests before and after each football season.

Dr. Savino completed his residency in Neurology at Boston University Medical Center, serving as Chief Resident during his final year of training. He obtained his medical degree from Rush Medical College in Chicago and completed his undergraduate degree at the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Dr. Savino is a member of the American Academy of Neurology (AAN) and the American Medical Association (AMA).
