Jeffrey Kutcher, MD

Dr. Jeffrey Kutcher is a board-certified neurologist, specializing in sports related concussion and other neurological disorders in athletes. He currently serves as the National Director of The Sports Neurology Clinic.

Dr. Kutcher served as the founding Director of the University of Michigan’s NeuroSport program. He is currently a team physician for the U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association and served as the team neurologist for the United States at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia. He is the Director of the NBA’s concussion program and works as an advisor to the NFL and NHL Players’ Associations. Matthew T. McCarthy, MD

Dr. Matthew McCarthy is a board-certified neurologist at The Sports Neurology Clinic, specializing in the treatment of concussion, post-concussion syndrome, and neurological disorders in athletes. He has additional training in the care of pediatric patients.

Dr. McCarthy has research interests in the diagnosis and management of sports-related concussion and the long-term consequences of concussion and repetitive sub-concussive hits in athletes. Anthony K. Savino, MD

Dr. Anthony Savino is a a board-certified neurologist and a fellow at The Sports Neurology Clinic, specializing in the treatment of concussion, post-concussion syndrome, and neurological disorders in athletes.

Dr. Savino’s research interests include autonomic dysfunction in concussion and the treatment of post-concussion syndrome. He is currently participating in a four-year collaborative research study of head trauma in local youth and high school football players. The study examines the potential chronic results of brain trauma by measuring head impacts in real-time with helmet sensors and conducting extensive brain function tests before and after each football season. Dr. Essad has a passion for medical education and serves as Director of The Sports Neurology Clinic’s medical student rotation and research internship programs. Sandro Corti, MD

Dr. Sandro Corti is a neurologist and a fellow at The Sports Neurology Clinic, specializing in the treatment of concussion, post-concussion syndrome, and neurological disorders in athletes.

Dr. Corti completed his residency in adult neurology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He obtained his medical degree from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School (formerly UMDNJ) in Newark, New Jersey.
